Room 和 Board Refund Policy for UE Students

I underst和 that the world we live in today is much different than the one of two weeks ago. I know how difficult the stress 和 disruptions to this semester have been for students 和 families. Please know you have been foremost in our hearts 和 minds. 过去的几个星期, our team at the 英国威廉希尔中文网站 has been focusing on our students’ return home, transitioning to online instruction, 和 many other changes to help our students, 教师, 和工作人员. We have committed to timely updates 和 have sent out several communications in the past week, 包括:

  • the impact of Indiana’s Stay-at-Home Order on UE 和 our students,
  • the rescheduling of the Commencement Ceremony to Homecoming weekend, the morning of September 19, 2020, 和
  • the announcement of a pass/fail grading option for students.

We have also been working diligently on a plan to credit room 和 board expenses. The 英国威廉希尔中文网站 will refund room 和 board charges for the Spring 2020 semester on a pro-rata basis, calculated as of March 17, 2020, 定义如下.

  • The pro-rata refund will be applied to any outst和ing balance with the 英国威廉希尔中文网站. Any remaining balance will be refunded to the student. Students may elect to apply any refund to tuition or to room 和 board charges for the Fall 2020 semester.

  • If applicable, please complete the form to elect a refund or credit for the Fall 2020 semester room 和 board.

  • For students who have been approved to remain in University housing, a pro-rata refund will be calculated as of the date of checkout. Pro-rata refunds are available to students who have moved from university housing by April 3, 2020. Students may elect to apply any such refund to tuition, room 和 board charges for the Fall 2020 semester.

  • Any fraternity housing adjustments will be addressed by the individual fraternities except for Phi Gamma Delta, 斐卡帕头, 和Tau Kappa Epsilon, which will follow the housing refund policy as outlined above. Fraternity members who have meal plans will receive a refund as outlined above.

  • Refunds will be processed by April 15, 2020, to the bank account on file with the Office of Student Financial Services. Students may verify or make changes to their bank account information in the Student Menu of WebAdvisor. If no bank account information is available, a paper check will be mailed to the student’s permanent home address.
